Description

This is an Arab classical quatrefoil cross design — the kind of richly framed medallion pattern found on a formal reception-room carpet. At the centre, a cross-shaped quatrefoil medallion interlaces around a small circular rosette, its four lobes inset with contrast colour panels. Above and below, an elaborate acanthus spray arcs upward into a slender urn-shaped finial, while loose scrollwork and flower clusters spread directly into the field’s open corners. A wide, continuous acanthus-and-anthemion border frames the whole field, finished with a fine diamond guard at the very edge.

Crafted in India using 100% natural wool, the dense cut pile — finished at approximately 23mm — gives this quatrefoil cross design a rich, formal weight underfoot. Available in six colour expressions: deep blue, lush green, classic ivory, gentle pink, bold red, and warm rust red — each carrying the same quatrefoil cross medallion design with its own distinct palette.
