Description

This is an Arab classical knot rosette design — the kind of interlocking circular medallion pattern found on a refined Persian-influenced hall carpet. At the centre, a rosette built from an interlocking knot motif blooms within a circular frame, anchored above and below by a slender urn-shaped finial. Loose acanthus scrollwork spreads directly into the open corners of the inner field. The side borders carry a distinctive chain of repeating circular roundels in alternating tones, finished top and bottom with a narrower floral guard.

Crafted in India using 100% natural wool, the dense cut pile — finished at approximately 23mm — gives this knot rosette design a soft, classic structure underfoot.
