Description

This is an Arab classical mihrab-panel design — the kind of pattern that echoes a mosque niche framed in stepped architectural lines. The field itself is shaped like a stepped pediment panel, its top corners notched inward in tiers before opening onto the main ground. At the centre, a multi-pointed star medallion unfolds in layered points, rising into scrolling vinework that climbs toward a fleur-de-lis finial at the top of the panel. Small diamond motifs sit in the upper corners, while the lower corners carry a fine interlacing knotwork detail. A wide border alternates lozenge medallions with floral palmettes, finished with a slim floral guard at the very edge.

Crafted in India using 100% natural wool, the dense cut pile — finished at approximately 23mm — gives this mihrab-panel design a structured, architectural feel underfoot. Available in six colour expressions: deep blue, lush green, classic ivory, gentle pink, warm rust red, and soft sky blue — each carrying the same mihrab medallion design with its own distinct palette.
