Description

This is an Arab classical arcade-border design — an open, uninterrupted field carries a slender pendant medallion at its centre, capped above and below by a slim flame-shaped finial, with scrolling acanthus vinework spreading symmetrically to either side. A thin inner frame sets the field apart from the border, with strapwork interlace medallions filling each of the four corners. The wide outer border is built from a row of pointed mihrab-arch shapes — a crenellated arcade band — finished with a trailing floral vine guard and a fine diamond guard stripe at the very edge, with a small lotus medallion anchoring each outer corner.
