Description

This is a classic Arab classical medallion design — the kind of pattern woven into a grand Persian-style hall carpet, built around a flowing lotus rosette rather than a hard geometric star. At the centre, a multi-petaled lotus rosette medallion unfolds in concentric rings, anchored top and bottom by a slender lotus-bud finial that opens into sweeping, mirrored acanthus scrollwork. Each corner carries a dense spray of curling scroll-leaves, the whole field framed by a wide band of matching acanthus vine and finished with a narrow lotus-and-palmette guard border at the very edge.

Crafted in India using 100% natural wool, the dense cut pile — finished at approximately 23mm — gives this flowing medallion design a soft, traditional feel underfoot. Available in six colour expressions: deep blue, rich burgundy, lush green, classic ivory, soft sky blue, and warm rust red — each carrying the same lotus rosette medallion design with its own distinct palette.
