This is a fifth visual tradition, and it earns the distinction — two polar bears face off on an Arctic ice shelf, one reared up and snarling, the other crouched low with teeth bared, a length of rope and a trap mechanism visible on the rocks below, birds wheeling in a sky above distant icebergs. The rendering is dramatic, painterly, and realistically shaded in the manner of a Victorian-era wildlife engraving or naturalist print folio — cross-hatched fur texture, strong chiaroscuro, narrative tension nothing like the flat colour-block illustration of Naturalist Garden, the East Asian brushwork of Cloud Peak, or the abstract colour-plane work of Fractured Vista. A genuinely different art tradition gets a genuinely different name: Wilderness Folio. Every fur tuft, claw, and rock edge is then finished with a carved, embossed relief that lifts the engraving-style detail from the field for real sculptural depth.
