Naturalist Garden Butterfly Specimen Hand-Tufted Carpet is a naturalist specimen-board composition seven butterflies arranged across the field as if pinned in a collector’s display case, large open wingspans next to smaller folded silhouettes, no floral or branch framing. The layout here is strikingly close to the existing Butterfly Specimen design (file 9071, also in this collection) — same seven-butterfly grid, same specimen-board logic. See Important Notes for that comparison; this description otherwise follows the established language for the design. Each butterfly is outlined in fine illustrative line-work with flat colour-block wing patterning, finished with a carved, embossed relief that lifts every wing edge and vein from the field for genuine sculptural depth. Crafted in India using 100% natural wool, the hand-tufted, hand-carved pile gives this design the presence of a glass-cased entomology collection rather than a traditional rug pattern. Grounds range from solid colour fields to tonal monochrome treatments, with butterflies rendered in either matching vivid colour or soft tonal neutrals depending on the colourway. | Important notes | • POSSIBLE DUPLICATE DESIGN — flagging before anything else: this seven-butterfly specimen-board layout looks like the same composition as file 9071 (also "Butterfly Specimen, " same collection), not just a similar idea. Same grid count, same mix of large open wings and small folded silhouettes, same no-floral-framing treatment. I can't directly overlay the two image sets, so I'm not asserting they're identical — but it's close enough that this needs your eyes on it before going further. Two real possibilities: (a) these are 7 new colourways meant to extend 9071, not a new SKU at all, or (b) this is genuinely a new design that happens to share the same trope and should stay as 9078. Built it as a new file per your instruction, named to match 9071 for now — confirm which case this is and I'll adjust (merge into 9071, rename, or leave as-is). • Colourway names continue the real-species convention: Cardinal, Speckled Wood, Camberwell Beauty, Map Butterfly, Swallowtail, Holly Blue, Cabbage White — none repeated from the 14 butterfly names already used across 9070 and 9071. • No image gap — 7 stated, 7 received, all confirmed. • Map Butterfly (image 4) and Holly Blue (image 6) share a teal-coral-gold palette on a similar neutral ground — same recurring near-duplicate pattern flagged on the last several files, noted briefly rather than re-explained. • Colours displayed on screen may vary slightly due to monitor settings, lighting conditions, dye lots, and the handmade nature of the product. |
