Description

This is a French Aubusson-style floral medallion design — an oval cartouche sits at the centre of an open ivory field, framed by a slender rope-twist border and filled with a small compass rosette surrounded by lyre-shaped scrollwork. Naturalistic rose and floral bouquets unfurl symmetrically above and below the medallion, connected by sweeping acanthus C-scrolls and a ribbon-tied flourish at the base.
