Description

This is an Arab classical mihrab-arch medallion design — the kind of nested, layered framing found on a formal reception-hall carpet. A scalloped, lobed diamond medallion sits at the heart of an arched mihrab-shaped inner panel, topped by a flame finial and flanked by scrolling floral sprays that climb into the panel’s upper corners. This inner panel is itself set within a second rectangular frame carrying its own corner floral sprays, the whole composition finished with a wide outer border of continuous meandering floral vine.

Crafted in India using 100% natural wool, the dense cut pile — finished at approximately 23mm — gives this layered mihrab medallion design a rich, architectural depth underfoot. Available in six colour expressions: deep blue, warm gold, lush green, classic ivory, warm rust red, and soft sky blue — each carrying the same mihrab-arch medallion design with its own distinct palette.
