Description

This is a French Aubusson-style star medallion design — a cusped diamond medallion sits at the centre of an open ivory field, set with a compact eight-point star and capped by a fleur-de-lis finial rising above it. Large, naturalistic floral bouquets unfurl in each corner, rendered in sweeping acanthus scrollwork with full-blown roses and small blossoms. The wide outer border carries a continuous shell-and-acanthus scroll in a single ground colour, finished with a fine diamond-chain guard stripe at the very edge.
