Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question about our rug repair and restoration service? Here are the answers to the most common ones we hear.

Almost all rugs can be repaired to some degree, regardless of age or condition. Send us a photo and we will assess it for free. Even heavily damaged pieces with large holes, severe fringe loss, or significant colour fading can often be restored to a beautiful, functional state by our craftspeople.
Fringe repairs and minor spot work can often be completed within a few days. Colour restoration and more detailed work typically takes 1 to 2 weeks. Full reweaving or reknotting of larger damaged areas may take 3 to 6 weeks. We will always give you a clear, honest estimate before we begin.
Our goal is always an invisible repair. For most fringe, hole, and tear repairs, the result is seamless and undetectable — we match the original pile direction, knot structure, and colour as closely as possible. We will always be honest with you about the expected outcome before work begins.
We offer a convenient collection and delivery service across Europe. Simply contact us, describe your rug and the repair needed, and we will arrange collection at a time that suits you. Once the work is complete, we return your rug safely packaged and ready to be laid.
Pricing depends on the type of repair, the size of the affected area, and the complexity of the work. Minor repairs start from a modest fee, while larger structural work is quoted individually. We always provide a free assessment and a clear, itemised quote before any work begins — no hidden costs, no surprises.

Client Reviews – Kaleen Baba

What Clients Say About Us

Ingrid Sørensen

Ingrid Sørensen

— Lifestyle Blogger, Copenhagen

I have searched for years for a rug that truly feels like it belongs in my home — and Kaleen Baba delivered beyond all expectations. The texture, the weight, the depth of colour — everything speaks to extraordinary skill. It has become the most commented-on piece in my entire flat.

Luca Moretti

Luca Moretti

— Architect, Milan

In my profession, proportion and material quality are everything. Kaleen Baba's rugs hold their own against the finest European makers — and carry an authenticity that simply cannot be replicated. I specified two pieces for a residential project and the clients were completely captivated.

Amélie Fontaine

— Art Curator, Paris

What struck me most was the restraint in the design — nothing overdone, nothing lacking. The rug I chose for my study has a quiet confidence that I associate with truly great craft. Kaleen Baba understands that heritage and modernity do not need to compete with one another.

Henrik Bauer

— Restaurateur, Amsterdam

I furnished my restaurant's private dining room with two Kaleen Baba pieces and the response has been remarkable. Guests pause, look down, and ask about them before they even sit. That kind of quiet, unhurried impact is rare — and it is exactly what great design should do.
