MANUFACTURING PROCESS

In the old days of India, weavers were sadly looked down upon, and seen as untouchable. But this was a misunderstanding because their true touch was in their incredible skill. Weavers use many different techniques to make rugs. These techniques decide how good the rug is, its design, price, and even how long it will last.”

Hand-Knotted

On a loom, an artisan carefully ties each knot on the warp threads, working line by line. After completing a line, they secure it with a weft thread before starting the next row of knots. This meticulous process continues until the entire carpet is woven. knotting begins.

Hand-Tufted

With a tufting gun in hand, an artisan skillfully pushes yarn into fabric marked with a design. These outlines act like a map, showing where each color should go to create the beautiful final rug.

Hand-Loom

Weaving rugs is a lot like weaving fabric on a handloom. However, the threads, or warp and weft, are much thicker to create a sturdy, cozy rug. The yarn is carefully interwoven to form a strong and beautiful piece of fabric.

Flat-Weave

A flatweave carpet is crafted entirely by interlocking threads. The vibrant colors come from the threads themselves, while the unique designs are created through various interlocking styles.
